3  types of Certification

 1st Party Certification:    

   Management  self  audits  without registrar and evaluates their own  

   organization for   ISO 9001 QMS  certification 

   and  self  issues  a  certificate.  

Costs:  includes consultation:                                          

1st Party Certification is preferable for internal benefits.  

3rd Party Certification   is not  compulsory. 

     and   preferable    for   external   benefits 

2nd Party Certification:  

 Organization's  customer  audits   evaluates   organization 

 for   ISO 9001 QMS certification   and   issues   a  certificate.

3rd Party Certification:    

 Accredited  Registrar  audits  evaluates  organization 

 for ISO 9001 QMS  certifiction  and   issues  a   certificate.       

Costs:  includes   consultation     

                 certification   registration   Costs   and   Auditor's Fee.

Following   ISO 9001 QMS   installation   an   internal  audit  

is undertaken   before the  final  registrar certification  audit. 

Recertification   registrar   audits  are  undertaken   every year 

for  3   consecutive  years.
